Maritime Province has plenty of things to offer to its outdoorsy travelers. This is amongst the best destinations to be visited during 2012. In this province, you can experience some of the best Canadian vacations, as there are many options for you. Maritime vacations are really wide-ranging; there are music festivals, parties for communing with nature and many more things which can be enjoyed at its best, in Maritime only. I recently visited Maritime in Canada, and found it the perfect destination for 2012.
What I came to know from the locals was that, the best time for visiting Maritime was the Hurricane season. It spans from June through November and they also made me ware about the highest-risk months i.e. September and October. The safest time to visit it is June as the temperatures peak between 65 and 77 degrees and even the humidity is low. I stayed at the Halliburton Hotel which had very cheap rates as compared to other hotels in the surrounding region. This hotel was a trio of the 19th century and it also housed Halifax’s waterfront. I had great time in Maritime.
Some of the popular tourist destinations within budget I visited were the Bay of Fundy, Cabot Trail, the Anne of Green Gables homestead and Peggy’s Cove. The Bay of Fundy is renowned for having world’s highest tidal range. The Cabot Trail was really worth experiencing. It is a highway as well as scenic roadway in the Canadian province of Nava Scotia, Maritime. When I visited it, I also went through many of the charming communities which had unforgettable hospitality and breathtaking scenery. This area also provides a world-class hiking spot. I also tried out world’s some of the finest sea food dining along with various galleries and museums.
I also visited a small picturesque fishing village in Maritime, known as the Peggy’s Cove. I walked through the huge boulders of this for enjoying a splendid view in all the directions. There were many places which I cherished during my budget trip to Maritime. It is surely to make one of the best tourist destinations for 2012. To add to it is the friendly nature of the locals, rugged scenery and magnificent regions of Maritime.
