Vietnam is such a vivid country that any serious traveler must visit it once in their life. Being one of them, how could I miss it? I was fortunate enough to experience the natural setting, local markets, religious monuments, cuisine, people and also the beaches of Vietnam about 3-4 years back. I actually came to know about this place after reading a magazine, in which the author had mentioned his own experience of visiting Vietnam in a cheap budget. That was enough for me, to trigger my journey; he also talked about the places where he found the food, sights, accommodation and many more at a very cheap rate. I just planned my trip the way he had mentioned in it. And my cheap trip to Vietnam was really a memorable one.
I planned a 4 days trip to Vietnam, which is believed to be cheaper than other South East Asian countries. Everything from food to accommodation had a fantastic value rather than only being inexpensive. I found the Hoi An town to be the most beautiful and cheap places in Vietnam. Starting my journey to Vietnam from the biggest tourist attraction, the Hoi An town, I spent my whole day going around some of the incredible sights there. After a whole day’s enjoyment, I stayed at a huge cheap room and to my surprise it had free wifi system. The next day I began with my further journey towards exploring Vietnam. At a place (I don’t remember its name), I had an amazing meal at just $5 for two people.
After visiting some of the great sights of Vietnam, what I came to know was that, Vietnam is a completely different world with more vivid colors, border landscapes, dramatic coastline, compelling history, divine tastes and many more such things. They also said that, Vietnam is the latest dragon of Asia to awake from its forty winks. The nature of Vietnam is blessed with bountiful harvest and joyful rice fields where peasant women work in their fields and children ride buffalos. This was one of the distinguishing sights I saw during my tour to Vietnam.
I also took a stop at the old imperial capital, Hue to feel the cultural, intellectual as well as spiritual heartbeat of Vietnam. This place was home to several pagodas, temples, tombs, palaces and also host to the Biennial arts festival. I also located myself in the Old Quarter and enjoyed the ‘pickled fish street’ and cooled off with the draught beer, to get a really rewarding experience.
While returning from Vietnam, I thought, Vietnam has it all. It was all about expecting the unexpected and being prepared for an adventure at every step.
