In life, I had a wish to visit the country which boasts the “Pearl of the Danube”, Budapest atleast once. Hungary is one of the most wonderful countries in the world that I ever visited. It is as unique as its language, indeed it has much more to offer its visitors rather than a profusion of wine, thermal spas and also goulash. I don’t exactly remember the time when I visited Hungary but it was one of the best experiences I had in my life. Actually, my trip to Hungary was a planned one with a full of expensive budget but due to some unexpected circumstances, I had to plan it on a tight budget. A budget trip to Hungary wasn’t a big deal but instead of large amounts, it was a great enjoyment in budget wise exploring various interesting places of Hungary.
The first place I visited in Hungary was Budapest, which was a perfect city for lovers as well as dreamers and I was both. When I visited Hungary, it was a completely affordable destination with huge meals at $5, hotels at $20 for a night and public transportation for $1. I found the capital city very enthusiastic and passionate and the hospitality of the locals is successful in making the visitors wanting to come back here.
The most memorable thing I did was taking a dip in the therapeutic hot springs of Budapest. The fashionable city of Budapest is also the increasing social, economical as well as political capital of Hungary. I was also able to witness the big-rush of the city lined with towns and cobblestone streets, wine valleys and even the beach resorts. Hungary has its own value which is much different from its neighbors.
Travelling in and around Hungary was also very cheap. It highlights the mixture of modernization and architecture of the 14th century. The must see architectural sights of Hungary include the tranquil Margaret Island, the Buda Royal Palace and the Fisherman Bastion. The people are so exciting that even if you don’t understand their language they’ll try to chat with you. I also visited the place where hipsters get drunk and watch experimental films, ruins get hang-out and until three in the morning, people assemble at the museums. The buildings of Hungary have their own character along with different colors and names.
I even cherished a stroll down the Andrassy Boulevard which has a tree lined alley along with the yellow and purple flowers that tickled my feet as I passed from it. There are many things that I did in Hungary either free of cost or by merely paying something. My trip to Hungary was really a great one where I had a rich experience within my cheap budget.
